FAQs

Q: What is it exactly?  I see other spartans, so I know they're in MP, but MP in the singleplayer levels?  How?  Also, your MC model textures suck, at least in the 343 level.
A: This is a single player mod. The team's leader, Masterz1337, changed the AI encounters within the scenario replacing most of the marines with the spartan model you see. The spartan biped is completely custom and still lacking anything eycandyish other than a basemap. In gameplay, they're basically highly accurate team mates.

Q: When will the mod be released?
A: The mod of the SP maps will be released on the 25th of June, which marks the one year aniversery of the release of H2 Coagulation

Q: Will all of the SP maps be released at once?
A: On the day of release, each map will have an individual download, as well as a larger download of all the maps at once.

Q: How much will this cost?
A: We are unable to charge for the mod due to the content being Bungie's intellectual property. It will be free for download.

Q: This problaly wont happen, but will there be difficulty levels?
A: Yes, it will have all dificulties.  There will be a campaign enabled UI which will include information about the mod. We are looking into new music which is free and legal to add in.

Q: I saw your new biped .... It was to green and I didn't like it, are you going to change it?
A: Yes, it has already been changed, it is much more eye pleasing ingame than you saw in the pictures.

Q: I saw you have a Battle Rifle, Pistol, SMG, and Assault Rifle, how do these work into gameplay? Has the pistol been changed?
A: Good question. Pistol is unchanged, excpet that it is now a gunmetal black. The pistol kills in 3 headshots, Battle Rifle in 4, but the battle rifle has the grenade launcher that can hold 12 grenades at one time, so it depends on what kind of player you are. The SMG is just like the one in Coag, and the AR is a much more acurate weapon, and is a good weapon to surpress people, and is a good weapon if caught against. a pisol or battle rifle user.

Q: I heard that there are new AR animations, I don't like that, cause bungie made them perfect.
A: Yes there are new AR animations, but we didn't make them. It ends up that there is extra animation data in the assault rifles first person animation tag, and these are being used. The biiggest change is the melee, which is much harder to use with the new animations. As a result, it is twice as strong, but much harder to land a hit.

Q: In multiplayer, will you guys use a lag fix like you did in Coagulation?
A: Yes, the melee fix is going to be implimented, bullet leading is under debate.

Q: I saw that map called Boarding Action Reloaded. It looks cool, plzplzplzplz put jets and longswords with nukes in it lolz.
A: We are not goign to include longswords or jets. We will use our pelican fleet, banshees, and the kestrals.

Q: Looking good, but what if the person's graphics card isnt too good?
A:  We choose our testers on a wide array of graphical solutions. This allows us to know just how far we can take certain things without nuking out our low end users. There have been many times when testers get some of our material and claim certain things to be shaded white or something similar. When something like that happens, it is reworked to where it will appear for that level of graphics card.

Q: When the SP maps are released, are you going to release all your tags?
A: No, most of them will be protected. HOWEVER, there is some stuff in the maps we will never use again, such as our updated AI and NPC shaders and skins. Those will most probably be released.

Q: This might be a stupid question, but after I download the SP maps, can I access them directly from a custom UI without console commands? Like p0lar_bear's Library UI? Also, can i use devmode cheats with it?
A: The CMT UI we will release will have Single Player enabled just like on Halo PC, you do not have to use our UI, but it has an instruction manual as part of it which will go over all the new weapons and vehicles. Any Single Player enabled UI will work, and you can load them via map_name on any other ui as well. And yes, devmode will work for all the maps.

Q: Did I see destuctible dropships?!?!?!?  YESSSSS!!!!
A: Yes, that is a destroyable dropship. We also have 4 types of Pelicans-a gunship, one with a rocket launcher in the back, one with a chaingun, and one with a chaingun as well as weapon drop pods (like Delta Halo in Halo 2).

Q: Hold on! You guys are trying to tell me you built the ENTIRE Halo campaign in Halo CE!?!
A: We didn't recreate all of it, we made all the new content you see in it. However, SteelixB who is on the team, began writing the Halo Tag Converter back in november/december of 2004, which is what in the fall of 2005 evolved into the tools that we used to convert the whole campain to editable tag format.

Q: So it is the same levels, just new weapons, vehicles, A.I., enemies, etc., and all of the maps are the same?
A: Same levels, but all of the shaders (they control the graphics of the game) have been overhauled, Vehicles have pieces that can be blown off (we have the Chainhog and Gauss hog from halo2, as well as the Rocket Warthog from the E3 Zanzibar demo (Our H2 skin for it pays homage to the Gearbox Warthog, but it plays like the one from Zanzibar). AI was done very well by Bungie, but it to has been upgraded. Allies with Chainguns will charge the enemies, while those with The Battle Rifle(our battle rifle has a grenade launcher attached, think of it as a BR with the brute shot attached) will use the secondary grenade fire to get enemies hiding behind rocks. Enemies can be found in new locations, such as hunters on the POA. You will see new battles, such as hunters fighting off endless waves of combat Flood. Our hunters are now beasts.  They have the same gun as in Halo 2, but are stronger, faster, and smarter than those you saw in Halo 1 or Halo 2.

The story is all the same, as well as the sequence of levels.
