Hey everyone, it's been a while since our last update. Nothing new on maps realy in here, mostly mod and team info. Well, first off, I want to say that CMT now has an official myspace group, where like on the forums, members of the CMT group will be given alerts when there is an update, and better yet, you will see secret updates the rest of the public does not see, similar to the CMT members forum on our own forums. Anyway, if you have a myspace, just go here http://groups.myspace.com/halocmt and join. But back to what most of you care about...
The Mod. Not much new has happened gameplay wise. We do have 2 new weapons in development, a portable machine gun, and a portable mortar. I'm not going to say much about them, but they are promised to bring interesting gameplay. One BIG thing that has happened is that nearly every weapon now has LODs(Levels of Display) What does this mean to you? Better FPS. Many MP map betas had low FPS, due to the amount of models without LODs. Speaking of optimizing, we also redid many of our sounds, so the game plays much smoother. The second big thing is the tagset has been re-organized, now everything is in a single folder. While this may not mean much to you, it is much easier for the team now, without the battle rifle being in 8 differn't folders. We are also planning something REALY cool about our biped for mp. It's not choosing your own biped, but it will certainly add some variety into what you see. We have also been looking foward to h2 vista, and we WERE planning on making new models of our AR (from scratch) as well as the gun seen in the cover art to "Ghosts of Onyx". This is where we hit a snag, and we need your help. Between school, personal life, and just exploring new options, many team members have been inactive. Of those who worked over the summer, only a few remain activly modding. Those people being Teh Lag, Leet, and Polarbear, Scooby. We also have a new member, Wilson, who has done some fantastic stuff with halo pc, and the team is helping him get adjusted to the HEK. You can see his PC mod he was working on at halomods. Based on what you see in his post and video, it can't be hard to guess what he will be in charge of in the mod. While those 4 are extreamly talented in what they do, there is one thing we DO need: modelers. Personal life has taken them over, and we are looking for people to submit us portfolios of stuff you have worked on. If we like what we see, we will contact you back. If we don't, it's not that we don't like you, it's just we need people we know we can work with well. We are execting the new models to be high poly, and some modeling done will include getting some of our current custom stuff ready to look pretty for Halo 2 Vista. That's all for now.
